Patient Information:

Opening hours

Our opening hours are 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday

Appointments

Consultations (whether face to face, telephone or video) are by appointment only.

Longer consultation times are available. Please book a longer appointment if you have more than one concern to discuss.

If you think you have a contagious illness (e.g. COVID-19, influenza, gastroenteritis, chickenpox etc.) please inform our receptionist when booking your appointment.

We can still see patients with infectious illnesses, though need to do so in a way that avoids exposure to our staff or other patients in the waiting area, in order to keep everyone safe.

Walk-in appointments may be accepted, however there may be a wait as priority is given to patients who have already booked an appointment.

Despite our best intentions, we sometimes run late! This is because someone has needed unexpected urgent attention. Thank you for your consideration.

Cancellations and failure to attend

We require a minimum of 3 hours notice for a cancellation of an appointment.

We have a Failure to Attend Policy at our Practice.

We understand that sometimes unavoidable situations arise, if you are unable to attend your appointment, we ask you to provide as much notice as possible (minimum 3hours) so that we can offer your appointment to another patient.

Failure to notify us of this may result in a fee being charge to you and this missed appointment fee must be paid prior to future appointments being made.

Currently our failure to attend fee is $55 for single, $95 for double.

This fee cannot be claimed through Medicare.

Arrival at the Clinic

Please make sure the receptionist knows you have arrived so that the doctor is informed that you are waiting.

Fees

Bellerive Health Hub is a private billing practice. Fees for consultations and associated services must be paid in full at the time of your consultation. Payments can be made via EFTPOS, Credit Card, Cash or EFT

Refunds are processed on-site and deposited back into your bank account registered with Medicare, or immediately back onto a debit card.

Fees will vary depending on the length of time you spend with the doctor, the complexity of your medical condition and the doctor you see.

These fees are determined by Practice Policy and are reviewed periodically

Telehealth and telephone consultations also incur standard fees. Medicare rebates are only available for Telehealth and telephone consultations if you have been seen in the practice within the last 12 months, which we would recommend anyway as part of your ongoing clinical care.

The fee information on our website applies to consultations with General Practitioners. More information about fees for Allied Health Professionals is available at our reception.

Please note, there will be an account fee of $15 for all accounts not paid on the day.

See our fees at the top of this page.

Repeat Scripts

Repeat prescriptions require an appointment with your doctor to ensure that your medication and medical condition are being managed appropriately

Referrals

Medical certificates

All requests for medical certificates must involve a consultation with your doctor. Please advise reception at time of booking if your appointment is simply to obtain a Medical Certificate

Telephone Calls

Practitioners in the practice may be contacted during normal surgery hours. Wherever possible, please discuss your problem first with our receptionist or practice nurse. If the practitioner is with a patient, a message will be taken and you will be advised by the reception staff when it is likely that the practitioner will return your call.
